    First of all, we are delighted by the growing interest in and active use of our AI services. This shows us that, together, we are on the right track.

    GWDG’s offering As the operator of the KISSKI AI Service Centre, GWDG makes external models available via Chat AI – including models from OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude) and ElevenLabs – to its shareholders, to selected universities in Lower Saxony and, upon request, to customers with a service contract.     GWDG at “AI in Studies and Teaching (KI:SL)“ on 21.04.2026

    On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., the first university-wide action day “AI in Teaching and Learning (KI::SL)” will take place at the University of Göttingen in the Central Lecture Hall Building (ZHG), Platz der Göttinger Sieben 5 – a full day dedicated to showcasing the use of AI tools in study and teaching through concrete examples and useful background information.

    GWDG at "Science goes City" on 19.04.2026

    On Sunday, April 19, 2026, starting at 12:00 p.m., science will come out of the laboratories, libraries, offices, and lecture halls into the streets of downtown Göttingen, transforming the area once again into a vibrant science mile. Diverse research meets a diverse city at the “Science goes City” event, where people of all ages are invited to experience hands-on science.     Short film by DARIAH-DE on the use of AI in the Humanities

    How does artificial intelligence influence the landscape of humanities research infrastructures? This question is explored from the perspective of DARIAH-DE in the short film „DARIAH-DE – Perspectives on Humanities Research Infrastructure in the Context of AI“ published by various stakeholders.

    The film focuses on how we, as researchers and as research infrastructure providers, can use AI to manage the vast amounts of research data we deal with today. It demonstrates that established research infrastructures will remain a crucial support for researchers in the coming years.
