On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., the first university-wide action day “AI in Teaching and Learning (KI::SL)” will take place at the University of Göttingen in the Central Lecture Hall Building (ZHG), Platz der Göttinger Sieben 5 – a full day dedicated to showcasing the use of AI tools in study and teaching through concrete examples and useful background information.

The GWDG is also participating with a diverse program focused on artificial intelligence and looks forward to welcoming many visitors. At information booths on Generative Artificial Intelligence Agent (GAIA) and the GWDG’s AI services, visitors can learn about current offerings and developments and engage directly with experts.

On Sunday, April 19, 2026, starting at 12:00 p.m., science will come out of the laboratories, libraries, offices, and lecture halls into the streets of downtown Göttingen, transforming the area once again into a vibrant science mile. Diverse research meets a diverse city at the “Science goes City” event, where people of all ages are invited to experience hands-on science. Discover exciting experiments, lectures, and interactive stations from all academic departments – right on site in downtown Göttingen and its shops.

Under the motto “Discover your possibilities – find your degree program!”, this year’s information days at the University of Göttingen will take place on March 9 and 10 at the central campus in the Central Lecture Hall Building (ZHG), Platz der Göttingen Sieben 5. The information days are aimed at prospective students, teachers, and parents. They begin at 10:00 a.m. on both days.

Teachers, students, and staff from all 13 faculties and from central and non-university institutions will provide information about subjects and study requirements, as well as about future career fields and opportunities for advice and support related to studying. Visitors can choose from 150 lectures and engage in discussions at 80 information stands. The GWDG will also be there with an information booth and would be delighted to welcome many visitors.

The Göttingen Career Information Day “GöBit” – the largest career orientation fair in the region – will take place this year on March 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Lokhalle Göttingen. For many years, it has been offering high school and college students and other interested parties valuable insights into training and study opportunities.

Around 200 exhibitors and sponsors support the event and provide a wide range of advice and information. The GWDG will also be there this year with an information stand, where it will present its various training courses. We look forward to seeing you at stand H17.
